About Mon Amigo

Mon Amigo is a specialised information portal about peptides, peptide bioregulation, health and scientific research. Our aim is to present complex information in a clear, structured and responsible way while distinguishing established knowledge, scientific hypotheses and areas where research is still developing.

Our mission

The subject of peptides is broad and is often presented in an oversimplified way. The same general term may refer to very different molecules, research fields and product categories.

The main mission of Mon Amigo is to provide a clear information structure that allows visitors to move gradually from fundamental concepts to physiological systems, molecular mechanisms and scientific evidence.

We aim to make the information accessible to people encountering the subject for the first time while providing sufficient structure for readers who want to explore it in greater depth.

How is the information organised?

Mon Amigo content is organised into three main areas:

  • Peptides – fundamental concepts, mechanisms of action, peptide bioregulation, anti-ageing and Khavinson peptides;
  • Health – information organised by organs, tissues and functional systems;
  • Science – scientific research, clinical data, molecular biology, gerontology and evaluation of evidence.

Each page has its own subject and purpose. Related topics are connected through internal links so that information can be explored progressively without repeating the same explanations across numerous pages.

How do we approach scientific information?

Health-related subjects require a clear distinction between different levels of scientific evidence.

A laboratory result, an experimental model, an observation involving humans and a well-controlled clinical study do not represent the same type of evidence.

We therefore aim to:

  • distinguish laboratory, preclinical and clinical evidence;
  • avoid presenting scientific hypotheses as established facts;
  • avoid generalising findings about one molecule to all peptides;
  • distinguish scientific evidence from unsupported claims;
  • describe limitations when available information does not support a definitive conclusion.

For more about evaluating different types of evidence, see Scientific Research and Clinical Data.

Not all peptides are the same

One important goal of Mon Amigo is to avoid placing every substance and product described with the word “peptide” into a single category.

Peptide bioregulators, different peptide complexes, cosmetic peptides and peptides used in other scientific and applied fields may differ considerably in structure, intended purpose, method of use and available scientific evidence.

Information concerning one particular molecule or category should not automatically be treated as evidence for another.

For an introduction to the subject, see What Are Peptides?.

A responsible approach to health information

Mon Amigo has an informational and educational purpose. Content on the site does not constitute individual medical diagnosis or treatment advice.

We do not encourage independently discontinuing or changing prescribed treatment. When disease, medication use, unusual symptoms or changes in therapy are involved, individual assessment by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional is necessary.

The purpose of the information is to help readers understand the subject more clearly and ask better-informed questions.

Who is Mon Amigo for?

The site is intended both for people encountering the subject of peptides for the first time and for visitors who already know the field and want more detailed and structured information.

If you are starting from the beginning, a useful sequence is:

Information is the beginning of informed choice

The better we understand the distinction between established facts, scientific hypotheses and claims that still lack sufficient evidence, the easier it becomes to navigate a complex and rapidly developing field.
